Sourdough Amish Sandwich Bread

There's a sweet little country store in the next town over ran by an Amish community. They sell bulk foods, spices, local meats, and the most delicious baked goods. The girls and I love to take trips over there to stock up on essentials over having to go 'into town.' At one point when we were there last summer the girls asked for a picnic lunch and we needed bread and lunch meat. It must have been a Friday because they had their fresh baked breads out for the weekend rush of customers. We grabbed a loaf of bread and whatever lunch meat the girls wanted and headed for home.
